In an estate squabble, Nora Garibotti, who says she was Joey Bishop's common law wife since shortly after the comedian's wife died in 1999 until he died in October 2007, claims Bishop's attorneys committed legal malpractice.

Garibotti sued James E. McCormick III, Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis LLP, Thomas C. Foster, Ed Gregory Hookstratten, and Hookstratten & Hookstratten in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Lancome perfumes sued Uma Thurman and Karuna Dream in New York County Court, claiming it did not intentionally disseminate any materials with Thurman's image, and there is a justifiable controversy about mascara billboard ads to which Thurman has objected.
