MINNEAPOLIS (CN) - NFL football statistics are publicly available records and the NFL Players Association can't charge CBS for using them in its fantasy football games, CBS says in a federal antitrust complaint. CBS says the NFL has threatened to put CBSSports.com out of business even though the 8th Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court, ruled against the NFL's claims this year in a case on these "exact issues."
"The Players Association claims that decision does not prevent it from continuing its efforts to collect nationwide monopoly royalty fees," the complaint states.
Yes, it does, CBS says.
CBS is represented by Michael Lindsay with Dorsey & Whitney.
