CBS Accused Of Sexual Harassment On ‘CSI’

LOS ANGELES (CN) - An actress claims CBS severely cut her hours on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigations" to retaliate for her truthful testimony about sexual harassment on the set.

Shanelle Renee Howard says she worked more than 40 hours a week on "CIS" from 2004 through 2007. She complained to CBS about the sexual harassment in 2006 and in 2007 "offered testimony and a written account of events plaintiff witnessed during the year 2006 to co-workers as part of a harassment claim filed by co-workers against CBS Television," according to the Superior Court complaint.

In retaliation, she says, CBS reduced her work by more than 90 percent.

Howard says she worked more than 40 hours per week for 10 months of the year - the CSI production season - until CBS retaliated. She also sued Entertainment Partners, which supplies extras or stand-ins to CBS TV.

Howard demands lost wages and punitive damages for retaliation and distress. She is represented by Jeffrey Korn.
