A federal court in California declined to dismiss a suit challenging the Food and Drug Administration’s approval of the animal drug Experior, which is supposed to reduce the amount of ammonia released from cattle waste.

SAN FRANCISCO — A federal court in California declined to dismiss a suit challenging the Food and Drug Administration’s approval of the animal drug Experior, which is supposed to reduce the amount of ammonia released from cattle waste. The Animal Legal Defense Fund and other plaintiffs claim the drugs are linked to high mortality rates in cows, contaminate the environment, and pose a public health risk.
