CARES Act

AUSTIN — The Texas Workforce Commission has “systematically failed at every level to deliver CARES Act benefits promptly and completely,” according to five Texans and a group representing unemployed Texans. They say the agency unlawfully audits claimants’ eligibility, belatedly strips them of their benefits and does not provide timely appeals hearings.
