Carcinogenic Chemicals

An appeals court in California affirmed the denial of a petition seeking to remove diisononyl phthalate from the state’s list of carcinogenic chemicals. The chemical is used to “soften vinyl for use in flooring, wire insulation, gloves, garden hoses, artificial leather, and roofing material.”
