Car Seller Took Repo Too Far, Woman Says

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (CN) - A woman has accused the owner of a Knoxville car lot of using forceful repossession tactics. Mike Welch of Unique Auto Sales allegedly followed the former customer as she was driving to her boyfriend's work, boxed her in, busted out her driver's window, dragged her out of the vehicle, destroyed her cell phone and drove off in her car.

Rebecka Foust is suing Welch and his business for intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence and property damage in Knox County Court. She demands $50,000 in actual damages and $100,000 in punitive damages.

Filing counsel is Danny Garland with Garland, Della-Rodolfa & Cole.
