Capitol Riot

A federal court in Washington ruled that Federico "Freddie" Klein, who is facing an eight-count indictment relating to his participation in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, should be released from custody pending trial. Klein, who was appointed to a position in the State Department during the Trump administration, allegedly “used force against several officers” in an attempt to breach the Capitol entrance.

WASHINGTON — A federal court in Washington ruled that Federico "Freddie" Klein, who is facing an eight-count indictment relating to his participation in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, should be released from custody pending trial. Klein, who was appointed to a position in the State Department during the Trump administration, allegedly “used force against several officers” in an attempt to breach the Capitol entrance.
