A federal judge gave his preliminary OK to a settlement in which four Japanese companies will pay indirect purchasers of capacitators $31 million to resolve price-fixing claims.

SAN FRANCISCO – A federal judge gave his preliminary OK to a settlement in which four Japanese companies will pay indirect purchasers of capacitators $31 million to resolve price-fixing claims.

Settling defendants include Panasonic ($4.7 million), Nichicon ($21.5 million), Elna ($2.25 million) and Matsuo ($2.5 million).
