Canadian PM Sues Liberal Party For Libel

ONTARIO, CANADA (CN) - Prime Minister Stephen Harper has sued the opposition Liberal Party of Canada for $2.5 million, claiming it libeled him in connection with a case in which Conservative Party members are accused of offering a dying Member of Parliament a $1 million life insurance policy for changing sides in a vote that would bring down the government. Harper claims advance excerpts from Tom Zytaruk's book, "Like A Rock - The Chuck Cadman Story," quoted him erroneously or out of context.
