Campus Sexual Assault

A federal court in Texas dismissed Title IX claims brought against Baylor University by 15 former students who claimed that the university responded with deliberate indifference when they requested help after being sexually assaulted by a fellow student. 

WACO, Texas — A federal court in Texas dismissed Title IX claims brought against Baylor University by 15 former students who claimed that the university responded with deliberate indifference when they requested help after being sexually assaulted by a fellow student. 

The court granted the students leave to amend their complaint to add a specific claim for injunctive relief consistent with the terms of the court’s order.
