California stolen goods statute enjoined

SAN JOSE, Calif. — As signaled at a hearing in June, a federal court in California blocked the enforcement of a state law that would have governed the sale of stolen goods online. The statute is preempted by the federal INFORM Act and a section of the Communications Decency Act.
