California Courts Must Disclose Names & Salaries Of Public Officers

SAN FRANCISCO (CN) - The California Supreme Court ruled that names and salaries of peace officers and other public officers earning more than $100,000 must be publicly disclosed. In separate rulings, the court held that the information is neither protected by penal codes nor exempt under the California Public Records Act.
