California child support recipients win class action

SACRAMENTO — A federal court in California ruled in favor of a class of child support recipients, who said they receive their child support payments through a “Way2go” debit card issued by Comerica Bank, which charges fees for customer support calls that are deducted from their child support payments. The class is awarded $7.6 million, the amount in fees defendants have charged over four years.
