Caitlyn Jenner Blamed for Injury Accident

LOS ANGELES (CN) - A family of five sued Caitlyn Jenner on Friday, claiming she caused an accident that killed a woman in another car and drove it into theirs, giving them debilitating injuries.

Peter and Lea Wolf-Milessi and their family sued Jenner in Superior Court. They claim she was towing a vehicle trailer behind her Cadillac Escalade at an unsafe speed at around noon on Feb. 7 on the Pacific Coast Highway in or around Malibu. Jenner rear-ended a Lexus driven by Kim Diane Howe, killing her, and pushing her Lexus head-on into their Hummer, the family says.

Their passenger Elga Maurer "suffered a severe cervical fracture as a result of the severe frontal impact which has permanently disabled her," the complaint states.

Peter Wolf-Milessi, the driver, suffered "severe nerve damage to his wrists," forcing him to miss work. Lea, in the shotgun seat, suffered "significant blunt-force trauma" that required emergency and continuing treatment. A month-old baby in their car "was not responding at the scene" but lived after being taken to a hospital room, the family says.

They seek damages for pain, suffering and disfigurement, negligence, emotional distress, and medical expenses. They are represented by Spencer Lucas, with Panish Shea & Boyle.

Jenner, an Olympic decathlon champion formerly known as Bruce, made world news by undergoing a sex change operation.

Howe, 69, was a widow.
