LOS ANGELES (CN) - A man who dissects cadavers for a living failed to report $1.3 million in income over 5 years, costing Uncle Sam $433,000 in taxes, the IRS says. Ernest Nelson, of Rancho Cucamonga, pleaded guilty to the tax charge involving his business, Anatomical Services.
Nelson bought or took bodies from UCLA's Willed Body Program "to sell such specimens to companies conducting research ... and training," the IRS said in announcing the plea agreement.
The IRS describes Nelson as "a man who dissects cadavers for pathological examination." He faces up to 3 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.
