WASHINGTON (CN) - Cable TV companies must ensure subscribers with analog TV sets can continue to view all the stations cable companies are required to carry by the end of the transition to digital TV in 2009 according to a new Federal Communications Commission regulation.
The companies must either get analog signals to those customers with analog TVs, or make sure customers have the necessary equipment to view the broadcasts, and the broadcast signals must be of the same picture quality as are delivered to the cable company.
