Burned by ‘Burn Notice,’ Property Owner Says

MIAMI (CN) - The production company for USA Network's "Burn Notice" show set off a "big explosion" in rented property and refused to restore the place to its pre-blast condition, the property owner claims in Miami-Dade County Court.

Park Square Commercial claims it agreed to lease its property to TVM Productions for "one or more episodes" of the show.

TVM used the property in Doral, Fla., in the fourth season of "Burn Notice," and "executed certain special effects which included, but were not limited to, a 'big' explosion, a fire with responding emergency personnel and related property damage," according to the complaint.

After the explosion and fire, in May this year, "TVM failed to leave the property in the same condition as it was in prior to TVM's use," Park Square says.

Park Square demands damages for breach of contract and unjust enrichment.

It is represented by Frank Silva, of Doral.
