Broadway Shows Sue Stagehands Union

MANHATTAN (CN) - Eight Broadway theater production companies, led by Nederlander Producing Co. of America, have sued the International Alliance of Theatrical State Employees for $35 million in Federal Court, claiming the allegedly illegal strike has cost the theaters that much money.

The other plaintiffs are The New Grease On Broadway LP, Wicked LLC, The Drowsy Chaperone LLC, Rent LLC, The NY Hairspray Co. LP, Bruiser On Broadway LP (producer of "Legally Blonde"), and Cyrano Broadway Co. LLC. The theaters are represented by Michael Lebowich with Proskauer Rose.
