Bridgegate Ruling

A New Jersey judge for the second time declined Friday to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate a citizen’s charges of official misconduct against Gov. Chris Christie, who allegedly knew about and encouraged the 2013 Bridgegate lane closures.

HACKENSACK, N.J. – A New Jersey judge for the second time declined Friday to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate a citizen’s charges of official misconduct against Gov. Chris Christie, who allegedly knew about and encouraged the 2013 Bridgegate lane closures.

Judge Bonnie Mizdol wrote in the order that there was nothing to suggest that New Jersey prosecutors had arbitrarily dismissed the complaint or had any conflicts of interest.
