Boxer Mayweather Didn’t Pay Rent, Landlord Says

LAS VEGAS (CN) - Boxer and Dancing with the Stars alum Floyd Mayweather failed to pay $62,000 in rent for commercial space that houses his promotion company, his landlord claims in Clark County Court. It's the latest in a string of lawsuits against the boxer.

TDF Investments says Mayweather signed a lease in July 2008 for Mayweather Promotions at nearly $10,800 per month for three years.

But TDF says Mayweather owes for unpaid rent, and the landlord had Mayweather evicted in July of this year.

Boxer Manny Pacquiao sued Mayweather in December 2009 for defamation, with accusations that he falsely claimed he used steroids.

Mayweather was hit with another lawsuit in September 2009 for allegedly failing to pay for legal services. That same month, the former super lightweight champion was accused of failing to make monthly payments of $9,000 on a 2007 Mercedes Maybach 57S.

The most recent lawsuit was filed by Ross Goodman.
