TULSA (CN) - Betty Davis claims her employer, Braum's, intentionally inflicted emotional distress by singling her out to co-workers, showing them a surveillance video of her being robbed at gunpoint, and saying it "'showed exactly what should not be done during a robbery.'"
Davis says she "was immediately sick and ashamed at being singled out and 'blamed' for the robbery."
Soon afterward, Davis says, she was demoted and her pay was cut - but not her job duties - and she was sent to another store. She says the reduced pay and benefits forced her to resign.
She seeks more than $10,000 in punitive damages. She is represented in Tulsa County Court by Jeff Nix.
