Bosnian Serb leader hit with sanctions

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Treasury Department announced sanctions Wednesday against Milorad Dodik, saying "corrupt activities" by the Bosnian Serb leader threaten to destabilize the region and undermine a peace accord brokered in 1995.

Sanctions were also levied against Alternativna Televizija d.o.o. Banja Luka, a media outlet owned by a company linked to the family of the tripartite presidency official.
