Border Patrol impersonator pleas guilty

SAN DIEGO — The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California announced that a Mexican national pleaded guilty to the federal crime of impersonating a Border Patrol agent by placing a sticker on the windshield and a fake antenna on the roof as he followed federal officers on patrol. The man entered the U.S. decades ago on a tourist visa but had overstayed its duration, and illegally possessed three firearms.
