Boo! Class Goes After|Comic Katt Williams

OAKLAND, Calif. (CN) - Comedian Katt Williams took off his clothes and tried to fight people in the audience in a bizarre non-show that ended in 10 minutes, according to a class action against Williams and Live Nation.

Lead plaintiff Brian Herline sued Micah "Katt" Williams and Live Nation Worldwide in Alameda County Court.

Herline says he bought a ticket for Williams' Nov. 16 comedy show at the Oakland Oracle Arena. But there was no show, he says.

"Instead, after a short series of bizarre events onstage, in which Williams confronted a heckler, took his clothes off, and attempted to fight at least three audience members, the 'act' abruptly ended after about ten minutes," the complaint states. "In sum, Williams failed to perform. The audience members deserve their money back. Therefore, plaintiff brings this action on behalf of himself individually and on behalf of all others who paid money for a show and got nothing but Katt Williams's non-performance."

Herline says the audience also should be reimbursed for the money they spent "on tickets, for transportation, and parking," for which they "received nothing of value."

And he says the audience deserves punitive damages, as Williams "performed the acts herein alleged with malice or reckless indifference."

He seeks class damages for breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and unfair business practices.

He is represented by Steven Tidrick, of Berkeley.

Also this month, Williams' personal assistant, Melissa Ishage, sued the actor in L.A. Superior Court, claiming he hit her.
