Bogus! FDA Tells ‘Flavonoid Sciences’

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. (CN) - Brownwood Acres Foods and Flavonoid Sciences illegally claim their fruit bars and products can cure or mitigate "cancer, diabetes, arthritis, gout, Alzheimer's disease, and heart disease," the United States claims in Federal Court. It wants owners Stephen de Tar and Robert Underwood to knock it off, destroy the deceptive labels and stop falsely advertising their stuff.
