LOS ANGELES (CN) - Boeing will pay the United States $18 million to settle claims that it overbilled for Air Force maintenance contracts at the company's Long Beach center.
Boeing submitted false claims for labor on C-17 Globemaster cargo planes, including false hours and charging for work done on other contracts, the United States said in the False Claims Act complaint.
The Boeing employee who blew the whistle on the company will get some of the money.
Boeing did not admit that it did anything wrong.
