Blind Man Says Deputy Beat Him Bloody

NEW ORLEANS (CN) - Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Deputy Brian Sharp beat a blind man in the face repeatedly with a club or flashlight, breaking several bones in his face, then locked him in a cell and did not intervene when he was beaten again, Steven Fickes claims in Federal Court. He also sues Sheriff Newell Normand. See complaint.
