Blast Injury

A Wisconsin judge ruled that a man may seek punitive damages against the Husky Superior Refinery after an explosion at the facility created a blast wave that caused him to suffer a traumatic brain injury. Allegations of a worn valve and presence of a hazardous chemical created a dangerous situation at the refinery, and its operators may have intentionally disregarded the danger to others.
