Blackwater

WASHINGTON - Nicholas Slatten, a former Blackwater security guard facing a trial for allegedly firing without provocation on Iraqi civilians, cannot dismiss the indictment against him, a federal judge ruled.

Slatten, charged with first-degree murder, had taken issue with the lesser charge against his Raven 23 teammate Jeremy Ridgeway who pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
