Black Man Says LAPD Jailed Him For Years Though It Knew He Was Innocent

LOS ANGELES (CN) - The City of Los Angeles held a black man in prison for 27 months on bogus charges of armed robbery, withheld exculpating evidence from his attorney, rigged falsely incriminating evidence, and kept him behind bars though it knew he was innocent within a week of his arrest, Michael Walker claims in Federal Court.

Walker is represented by John Burton.

He also sues LAPD Dets. Steven Moody, Robert Pulido and Richard Record, and Police Chief William Bratton. He demands punitive damages.
