Bizarre Stabbing Reported at Charity Event

SACRAMENTO (CN) - A California man attending an Easter Seals event was forced into a closet, where another man made him "remove his shirt, wear a bra," and then stabbed him, the astonished visitor claims in court.

Jose de Jesus Oceguera sued the Easter Seals Society of Superior California on Wednesday in Superior Court. He sued through a guardian ad litem, but the 5-page lawsuit does not indicate whether Oceguera is a minor or incompetent.

Oceguera says he attended the Easter Seals ACE IT II program in Citrus Heights on March 19. Citrus Heights, pop. 83,300, is east of Sacramento.

There, he says, "another attendee" forced him into a closet, "instructed plaintiff to remove his shirt, wear a bra, and subsequently stabbed plaintiff with a knife kept in an unlocked box at the Easter Seals Madison Avenue location."

He seeks damages for negligence, medical bills, lost wages, and costs.

He is represented by Rebecca Hause, with Kershaw Cutter & Ratinoff.
