Bikini Latex Clubs

HOUSTON – A Texas appeals court tossed the state comptroller’s action seeking clarification as to whether a state “pole tax” – which requires the collection of certain fees from strip clubs – applies to “bikini-latex clubs,” where dancers are “clothed” by latex applied to their bodies in a liquid or semi-liquid state.

A federal court already barred Comptroller Glenn Hegar from collecting the $5 per patron fee from such clubs.
