Big attorney fees following book ban battle

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — A federal court in Arkansas awarded over $441,000 in attorney fees and costs to a coalition of libraries, booksellers and activists after the court struck down key provisions of Arkansas Act 372 as unconstitutional. Those sections would have imposed a penalty of up to one year in jail for making certain media “available” to minors.
