Bernard Madoff Spinoffs

A class action accuses Massachusetts Mutual Life and others of gross negligence and fraud, in handing over money invested in Rye Funds to Bernard Madoff, who flushed it all in the world's biggest Ponzi scheme, in Manhattan Federal Court.

A class action accuses Fairfield Greenwich Group of breach of duty, unjust enrichment and negligence, in New York County Court.

Here are the defendants in the Mass. Mutual/Rye Funds case: Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co., Oppenheimer Acquisition Corp., Tremont Group Holdings, Rye Investment Management Group, Harry Hodges, Rye Select Broad Market Prime Fund LP, Rye Select Broad Market Fund LP, and Tremont Partners.
