Belarus, Solid Waste & More

WASHINGTON (CN) - President Obama waives the trade restrictions with the Republic of Belarus under the Fair Trade Act of 1974.

The act limits trade with nations that have non-market economies.

The Environmental Protection Agency is reviewing a petition requesting that the agency reconsider and repeal the recently issued revisions to the definition of solid waste for hazardous secondary materials being reclaimed, and solicits comments and information to assist the agency in evaluating the petition. The comment period is extended 30 days to Aug. 13.
