Barr Accused Of Jumping The Gun

WILMINGTON, DEL. (CN) - In an ironic complaint filed as Barr Pharmaceuticals settled an antitrust suit that accused it of taking $20 million from Warner Chilcott and promising not to compete by making a cheaper, generic form of Warner's Ovcon contraceptive, GlaxoSmithKline sued Barr in Federal Court, accusing it of seeking FDA approval to make a generic form the Glaxo's prostate drug, Avodart, before that drug's patent expires.
