Bankruptcy

Corus Bancshares filed for bankruptcy in Chicago, listing more than $500 million in debts. The bank holding company was taken over by regulators in September 2009 and its $7 billion in deposits transferred to MB Financial; it cost the FDIC an estimated $1.7 billion.
