Baltimore Prosecutor Faces Child Porn Charges

BALTIMORE (CN) — A Baltimore City assistant state’s attorney assigned to the juvenile division was arrested Tuesday on child pornography charges.
The Baltimore County Police said Patrick Michael Moran, 39, of Baltimore suburb Nottingham, was arrested after his home was raided at 5 a.m. Tuesday. He was charged with possession and distribution of child pornography.
Detectives with the Crimes Against Children Unit received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in July about child pornography being shared on the internet. They say they identified Moran’s Kilkenney Circle address as a source.
Pictures and videos of child pornography, as well as various computer equipment and digital storage devices, were found at Moran’s home, police say.
In a press release, the state’s attorney’s office says Moran is no longer employed there and that they would cooperate with law enforcement in the investigation
Moran was released on $150,000 bail. Court records do not list a lawyer for him.
He is due back in court on Nov. 23 for a preliminary hearing.
