Baca’s Bail

A Ninth Circuit panel on Wednesday ruled former LA County Sheriff Lee Baca – convicted on federal obstruction charges – did not adequately address whether his planned appeal serves any purpose other than to delay going to prison, and must do so before his eligibility for bail pending appeal can be decided.
