Authors Claim Publishers Stiffed Them

MANHATTAN (CN) - Pearson Education and Prentice-Hall systematically cheated authors of "hundreds of thousands of dollars" in royalties, Bovee & Thill claim in Federal Court. John Thill and Courtland Bovee, authors of five business textbooks, claim the defendants breach contracts and misinterpret them in bad faith, fail to report sales, manipulate sales reports, manipulate book prices, and "purposefully distort and underreport ... royalty income."
