Attorneys Say Illinois Stole Their $2.2 Million

CHICAGO (CN) - The State of Illinois unconstitutionally swept $2 million from attorneys' Mandatory Arbitration Fund and $198,200 from the Lawyers' Assistance Program and put it into the General Fund, in violation of the separation of powers, Illinois attorneys claim in a class-action complaint in Cook County Court.
