Attorneys must apologize

PHILADELPHIA — In a civil rights dispute, a man testified that he “could have heard a rape victim screaming from two blocks away,” so his lawyers began to loop a recording of a woman’s screams: “At 122 decibels. For an hour. At 5:30 a.m. By a daycare center that was opening.” Their client is not going to face repercussions, but the attorneys “owe the local citizens an apology,” and the court orders them to write an apology letter and mail it to the homes and businesses affected, and at least one attorney must personally visit the properties and try to apologize in person.
