The Attorneys Liability Protection Society says it has no duty to defend attorney Stephen Conrad, who formerly practiced in Woodbridge, Va., and was disbarred in Maryland in January, from claims from more than 30 clients who say Conrad settled cases without informing them, and/or took money from those settlements. The Society claims in Alexandria, Va., Federal Court that Conrad concealed those acts when he applied for insurance.
