AT&T Says ‘Booster’ Wrecks Cell Phone Service

FORT LAUDERDALE (CN) - AT&T Mobility claims Digital Antenna fraudulently markets and sells a PowerMax Wireless Repeater aka a cell-phone "booster" that operates on AT&T's exclusive frequencies and injures AT&T's cell-phone network, "rendering useless cellular telephone service in the affected cell site sector." AT&T says Digital Antenna's device does not have FCC approval, and that Digital is abusing AT&T trademarks in its ads.
