Asset Sale

A federal court in Arizona granted a class of 40,000 wastewater customers and 30,000 water customers a preliminary injunction to prevent Johnson Utilities from distributing proceeds of its asset sale, with the exception of $15.5 million. The class claims the utility company’s owner bribed a former state regulator in order to charge customers excessive prices.

The class claims the utility company’s owner bribed a former state regulator in order to charge customers excessive prices.
