Assaulted while detained?

SAN DIEGO — A federal court in California allowed the bulk of a woman’s civil rights claims to proceed against Otay Mesa Detention Center, where she says she was sexually assaulted by an employee while she was detained there. She concedes a few of her Bane Act claims, but the majority of her sexual assault and battery claims proceed against the detention center; she has plausibly alleged the employee who assaulted her, who is not yet identified, did so while working as an employee.
