DALLAS (CN) - A former Kaufman County justice of the peace is being held on $3 million bail and his guns will be compared to ballistics from the killings of two prosecutors, ABC News reported.
Eric Williams, 46, of Kaufman, was arrested Saturday and charged with making a "terroristic threat," according to ABC.
Kaufman County District Attorney Mike McLelland and his wife Cynthia were shot to death in their home on March 28.
They were murdered two months after assistant prosecutor Mark Hasse was shot to death in a courthouse parking lot.
The Tri-City Herald, a Texas newspaper, reported that McLelland and Hasse both participated in prosecuting Williams last year on charges of stealing three computer monitors.
Williams received 2 years probation and lost his job as justice of the peace.
Williams' attorney David Sergi told the newspaper that Williams "has cooperated with law enforcement and vigorously denies any and all allegations."
