ATTORNEYS - The Army appeals courtupheld amilitary judge's decision to disqualify the appellant's civilian defense counsel, ruling that it did not violate his Sixth Amendment right to counsel.The courtfound thatthe defensecounsel's representation at trial might violate a statute designed to protect the integrity of government functions, including trial proceedings, and the counsel's representation created a "serious potential for conflict."See ruling.
