Army Corps Worker Sought Bribes, Feds Say

CHICAGO (CN) - An employee of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is charged with soliciting a $40,000 bribe from a contractor who was awarded a $2.5 million project to build city parks in Iraq. Joselito Domingo, 45, of Bolingbrook, Ill., was arrested as he left the Western Union office in Bagram, Iraq, with $4,770 from the contractor, who was cooperating with investigators, federal prosecutors said.
